Privacy Policy
Effective June 16, 2026 · Last updated July 6, 2026
This policy covers all Aunshin products and services — Aunshin Phone, Aunshin Books, Aunshin Commerce (when launched), and Aunshin Marketing Services. It explains what we collect, why, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. Because the products do different things, this policy has shared sections plus a section for each one. We write it to match what the products actually do — the words and the data flow have to agree.
1. Who we are
Aunshin is the brand of Joruva Industrial LLC, Scottsdale, Arizona, USA ("Aunshin," "we," "us"). For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
For some products and services (notably Aunshin Books and Aunshin Marketing Services), we act as a processor handling data on behalf of a business customer who is the controller; for others (notably Aunshin Phone), we deal with you directly as the controller. Each product section below says which applies.
2. Information we collect (all products)
- Contact & account data — name, email, and similar details when you sign up, request access, or contact us.
- Usage & technical data — log records, IP address, device/browser type, and actions taken, used to run, secure, and improve the products.
Product-specific data — including any sensitive data — is described in the product sections below.
3. Aunshin Phone
Aunshin Phone is an AI call copilot that coaches you in real time through stressful calls. For Aunshin Phone, Aunshin is the controller and deals with you, the user, directly.
What it collects, and what stays on your device
- Your side of the call is transcribed on your device. The only thing that leaves the phone is the text needed to coach you in the moment — never your recorded voice.
- We do not record the other party for you. Aunshin is coach-only: it does not place calls, speak, or negotiate on your behalf.
- Context you give it — the situation you're calling about (e.g., an insurance, medical-bill, credit/banking, or repair dispute) and any notes — used to coach you and, if you ask, to draft a summary or appeal letter.
- No advertising or analytics SDKs are in the app — not now, not later.
Anything we do keep is encrypted and isolated to you. Before any call content runs through an AI model, we require zero data retention and a health-data agreement from our model providers — no retention, and no training on your conversations.
4. Aunshin Books
Aunshin Books is a multi-tenant accounting platform used by accounting and bookkeeping firms to keep the books for their own clients. For data a firm loads or connects, the firm is the controller and Aunshin is the processor, acting on the firm's instructions.
Identity & sign-in (Microsoft / Google SSO)
When you sign in with Microsoft Entra ID or Google, we receive only your name, email, basic profile, a stable user identifier, and your organization/tenant identifier (the Microsoft tenant ID or Google hosted-domain claim) used to place you in the right firm. We request only the basic sign-in scopes (openid, email, profile). We never access your mailbox, files, calendar, or contacts.
Bank & financial-account data
When a firm connects a client's financial account, it is done through the financial-data provider's own secure, bank-hosted flow (see Plaid, below). We then receive account details, balances, and transaction history to keep the books. We never receive or store bank login credentials.
Accounting & business data
Ledger entries, chart of accounts, entities, customers, vendors, invoices, and documents that a firm and its clients create or upload.
5. Aunshin Commerce
Aunshin Commerce is in development and not yet generally available. When it launches, this policy will be updated to describe the data it collects and how it is used before the product processes any personal data.
6. Aunshin Marketing Services
Aunshin Marketing Services runs LinkedIn advertising and LinkedIn Company Page management for our clients — a managed service. We operate each client's own LinkedIn ad account and Company Page on their behalf, under authorization the client grants us through LinkedIn Business Manager. For this service the client is the controller and Aunshin is the processor, acting on the client's instructions and on the client's own accounts.
How we handle LinkedIn data
- Only to run the client's accounts. We use LinkedIn advertising and Page data solely to plan, run, optimize, and report on that client's campaigns and Page. We do not sell, rent, resell, broker, or enrich data, and we do not use LinkedIn data to build prospecting lists or to enhance a CRM.
- Member data stays inside the platform. LinkedIn member profile and activity data — for example, someone who comments on a client's post — is used only to manage that specific Page within our tools. We retain it only within LinkedIn's permitted windows, do not combine it with other data, and do not export it (including to the client) except for the categories LinkedIn expressly permits — a member's consented Lead Gen Form response and Page messages, which are the client's own leads.
- Each client is kept separate. One client's data and accounts are never combined with another's.
- Consented leads. When a member submits a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form on a client's campaign, we process that contact according to the consent on the form and applicable law, and deliver it to the client whose campaign it is.
- On offboarding. When a client leaves, we stop accessing their accounts and delete any data we retained under LinkedIn's terms within the required window.
We operate in accordance with LinkedIn's Marketing API Terms, Ads Agreement, and Data Storage Requirements. The client remains the owner of its LinkedIn ad account, Company Page, and ad spend; Aunshin holds a delegated role, not ownership.
7. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve each product's features.
- To coach you (Phone), to keep the books — pull and categorize transactions and draft accounting work, with human review before anything is posted (Books), or to run and report on a client's LinkedIn advertising and Page (Marketing Services).
- To secure the products, prevent abuse, debug, and maintain audit trails.
- To communicate with you about the products.
- To meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
We rely on the lawful bases of performance of our contract, our and our customers' legitimate interests, consent (where required, e.g., connecting an account or submitting a lead form), and compliance with legal obligations.
8. AI processing
Our products use AI to assist — coaching suggestions (Phone) and draft categorizations or flagged items (Books). AI assists; people decide. In Aunshin Books, AI output is always reviewed by a person before it affects the books. Where we use third-party AI model providers, they operate under terms that prohibit retaining your data beyond the request and prohibit training their models on it; for health-adjacent Phone data we additionally require a health-data agreement.
9. How we share information
We do not sell personal or financial information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with service providers ("subprocessors") that help us run the products, under contracts that limit them to that purpose:
| Subprocessor | Used by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Plaid | Books | Secure bank-account connection & transaction data |
| Teller | Books | Alternative bank-account connection & transaction data |
| Microsoft, Google | Books | Single sign-on / identity verification |
| Twilio | Phone | Call connectivity / telephony |
| Anthropic | Phone, Books | AI assistance (no-retention, no-training terms) |
| Marketing Services | Advertising & Company Page platform we operate on the client's behalf, on the client's own accounts | |
| Render & cloud hosting | Books, Marketing Services | Application hosting, database, and storage (USA) |
We may also disclose data to comply with law or legal process, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction (with continued protection of your data). For Aunshin Books and Aunshin Marketing Services, we share data at the direction of the client that controls it, and — for Marketing Services — with LinkedIn as the platform on which the client's own advertising and Page run.
Financial data via Plaid (Aunshin Books)
When you connect a financial account, you do so through Plaid Inc. Plaid's handling of information you provide through its connection flow is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
10. We do not sell your data
We do not sell or rent personal or financial information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws. There are no advertising or data-broker SDKs in our products, and we do not repurpose LinkedIn data from our Marketing Services for prospecting, resale, or enrichment.
11. Data retention & deletion
We keep data only as long as needed to provide the product and meet legal obligations. For Aunshin Books, accounting records may be subject to a statutory retention period (commonly up to seven years); we honor those requirements and the firm's retention instructions. For Aunshin Phone, the free tier keeps nothing at all, and anything retained on a paid tier is deletable by you. For Aunshin Marketing Services, LinkedIn member data is retained only within LinkedIn's permitted windows, and when a client offboards we stop access and delete retained client data within the required window. On verified request, or when an account closes, we delete or return data within a commercially reasonable time, except where law requires us to keep it.
12. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, application-layer field encryption for sensitive values, strict isolation (in Aunshin Books, each user reaches only the clients they are authorized for; in Aunshin Marketing Services, each client's accounts and data are kept separate; in Aunshin Phone, your data is isolated to you), least-privilege access, audit logging, and change-management controls including code review before release. No system is perfectly secure, but security is designed in, not bolted on.
13. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar U.S. state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to appeal a decision. For data controlled by a business customer using Aunshin Books or Aunshin Marketing Services, we may direct your request to that customer or act on its instructions. To exercise a right, contact [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
14. Children
Aunshin products are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
15. International users
Aunshin products are operated from the United States and data is processed there. If you access them from outside the U.S., you understand your information is processed in the U.S.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
